The Kabaka’s Palace is one of the historical sites in Kampala. Located in central Kampala, it is the official residence of the Kabaka of Buganda. The palace is the royal compound of the Kabaka or King of Buganda. It is located in Mengo, a suburb of Kampala, the Ugandan capital.
A guided tour can be conducted through the palace and there are lots of things to see. Inside are the torture chambers of Idi Amin Dada where many people were imprisoned and some killed during the dark years of his rule (1971-1979).
