A story is told about a British statesman, politician, army officer, and writer who was the prime minister of United Kingdom from 1940-1945 and 1951-1955 sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill. Out of his vast experiences as an army officer, and colonialist, he had had the opportunity of travelling to different destinations on the African continent. But in all his visits, one thing stood out! The beauty and magnificence of a country in the heart of Africa commonly known as Uganda.
Winston Churchill was blown away by the beauty of this land, and he couldn’t bear, but call it by a name that would perfectly resonate with its beauty. He took time to think of a word or something in his vocabulary that would much the beauty of the land. Being a writer, I believe he had taken time to study about oysters and the formation of pearls, so he referred to Uganda as the Pearl of Africa. He defined Uganda as magnificent, because of a variety of form and color, profusion of brilliant life and from end to end a beautiful garden.
Central Uganda covers a large area of gentle rolling hills interspersed with wetlands and forests. If we are to make a list of the top natural beauty destinations, it wouldn’t be a disservice if the central region of Uganda does not feature on that list, because it is next to none for it is indeed the pearl of Africa. As the slogan goes “beauty with a purpose” the beauty of the central region has never made its inhabitants to think of themselves above all the other people around the world, rather these people are united by this one thing……. The desire to help everyone that visits this region to explore the beauty of the land together regardless of your color and nationality. It is indeed true that Uganda is the most hospitable country in the whole world. Do not just take my words for it, dare to pay a visit, I believe you will be compelled to write a breathtaking review regardless of how long, or how short your tour might have been.
