With a plethora of beauty, ranging from the people with their diversely rich cultures to the majestic mountain scenery and gentle rolling hills covered with green lush rain forests and vegetation within the south, central and western regions, and flat savannah plains in the north and north eastern regions. The country is teeming with wildlife due to the great conservation efforts of the government and Non Governmental Organizations. Uganda has become a hot tourist destination offering mountain gorilla tracking, bird watching, mountaineering, chimpanzee trekking, primate watching, rafting, kayaking, sport fishing, cultural tourism, bungee jumping, game drives to mention but a few. Gorilla Trekking
The mountain gorilla nevertheless remains the highlight of anyone visit to Uganda. Tracking these gigantic endangered species through the thick rain forest undergrowth remains a moment to remember. Only one hour is allowed with these great apes but the experience is so exhilarating the minutes will fly by.
The vast rain forest of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park has variety of fantastic primates to see especially mountain gorillas the park prime attraction and others like monkeys, wild elephants, chimpanzees, among others. You can track gorillas, go birding, hike to the falls, and ride a bicycle for a woman and more. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is the most populated mountain gorilla park remarkable for gorilla trekking safaris in Africa. The park plays a role in wildlife conservation and it allows a minimum of 80 tourists per day for gorilla trekking. Visitors must stay close to the park if there to trek gorillas the next day. How ever, if Bwindi permits are fully booked, check out Mgahinga Gorilla National Park a second gorilla trekking park in Uganda.

Opportunities to explore wildlife on horseback and quad bike are available in Lake Mburo National Park.

Children Activities
Children activities have been put in place in some parks like Kibale. The Jane Goodall institute for example has positioned well trained guides to specifically handle children whilst their parents go chimp tracking. Chimpanzees are also available in the Kyambura gorge in Queen Elizabeth and Kaniyo Pabidi forest in Murchison falls national park.
Game Viewing
Game and bird life can be viewed in all the parks with a lot of different species to explore at your disposal. Night drives are also an attraction to experience to view the night jars. The exclusive spot lit night drive in Semuliki National Park is not to be missed. Other interesting night walks occur in Kibale and Queen Elizabeth.National Park.
Launch Trips
Launch trips on the Nile and Kazinga channels are some of the main attractions in Murchison and queen Elizabeth national parks respectively. The boat ride on Lake Mburo is also an important attraction in the park allowing views of marine life like hippos and lots of water birds and swamp dwellers like the shoe bill.
To enjoy thrill and adventure sports try out the white water rafting trips offered on the Nile. Enjoy the best grade five rafting in the world with a barbeque to wrap it all up. Bungee jumping from one of the highest spots on the Nile is also available in Jinja. Kayaking and the speed boat on the Nile are also worthy options to explore.
Hiking in Uganda
Hiking in Uganda is available for both the mild and expert hiker. The Rwenzori Mountains are recommended for only expert climbers because of their glacier peaks. Nevertheless even for the mild hiker available opportunities include hiking Mount Elgon. Volcano climbing is also available with an attempt of the Muhabura and Sabyinyo peaks in Mgahinga National Park.
Community Tours
Community visits to the local Batwa pygmies to study their way of life can be organized by visiting either the pygmies in Ntandi, Semliki or the Batwa in Kabale Bunyonyi. Cultural trails can also be followed on request with visits to Kasubi tombs, Ssezibwa falls, Amabere caves, Kabaka’s lake and Twekobe place.
Bungee Jumping
